FAQ

Q. Does it hurt?

A. Yes, tattoos hurt…but not that bad. Pain varies depending on the location of the tattoo. Elbows and knees generally require a little more pain tolerance than the forearm or back. With that said, it comes down to the person and pain can vary.

Q. How do i prepare for a tattoo?

A. Lots of sleep, water, and a good meal. Larger pieces like a sleeve or back piece can take hours.

Q. how old do i have to be?

A. 18 years or older. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

Q. can i swim after a tattoo session?

A. No swimming for a minimum of two weeks after getting a new tattoo.

Q. do you do peircings?

A. NO. Our shop is set up for Tattoo’s only.

Q. do you take a credit card?

A. CASH ONLY! While we have an ATM at the shop we advise being prepared ahead of time. Talk to your artist before arriving.

Q. can i bring a friend?

A. Yes, but depending on the piece you may be sitting for hours. Luckily, we are centrally located in the Cannery Row district of Monterey. So while your getting inked up, your squad can can venture out instead of waiting around the shop with nothing to do.

Q. are appointments required?

A. No, appointments are not required. However, we do recommend making an appointment for larger pieces as walk-ins depend on artist availability. A deposit will be required for all appointments to hold your spot with the artist. If you are a no show to your scheduled appointment there will not be a refund.

Q. can i have drink before?

A. NO ALCHOHOL!!!!! While we recommend being hydrated, alcoholic beverages are not one of them. Your appointment will be rescheduled if we believe you are under the influence of alcohol.

Q. are prescription medications a problem?

A. Please tell your artist if you are taking any medications for blood thinners. This can effect your tattoo and it is best for us to know ahead of time.

Q. how long does it take for a tattoo to heal?

A. 2-4 weeks with proper care.
